Licensing
Thousands of pets find their way into Animal Care and Control (AC&C) Centers each year without any form of identification. Unfortunately, without identification they are unable to reunite them with their families.
Purchasing a pet license will ensure that your special companion can be returned home quickly and safely.
The Paws Concierge staff is well versed in the laws and application process. We will also keep records for you that will remind you that the annual renewal is coming up.
Get your pet a license! It's so easy and gives you an inexpensive insurance policy for your animal companion's safety as well as your peace of mind should they become lost. Plus, it's the law.
Cat Licenses
Although the state of Arizona does not require cats to be licensed, getting a license for your cat is a good idea. A lost cat with a license tag has a better chance of being returned to his/her owner.
Why use the pet licensing services…...
- The Paws Concierge staff can complete all necessary paperwork and assist in vacination mandates and record collection
- All license information for your pet is included in your pet's online profile for easy retrieval
- Found animal companions can be reunited quickly with their owner.
- Your lost pet gets a free ride home. AC&C staff will attempt to bring your pet home to you immediately, skipping a trip to the Center.
- Your lost pet gets a longer care period. When found, your licensed pet will be cared for at one of the Centers for a longer period. They will exhaust every option they have to contact you using the information in our database, as well as provide this information to Pets 911.
- A current rabies vaccination helps protect your dog's health.
- If your dog bites someone, he/she may be eligible for home quarantine instead of quarantine in our facility or a veterinary hospital.
- License fees support the return of over 6,500 animal companions to their homes and adoption of 20,000 homeless pets to new families every year. Other services funded by pet licenses are spay/neuter programs to reduce pet overpopulation and community education services.
